Ancient Germanic Tradition for a Grounded and Intentional Year 2025
As the pace of our world accelerates, the need to pause, ground, and connect with ourselves has never been more essential - especially for you as a leader. Taking a moment to breathe, reflect, and realign can transform not just your personal well-being and energy, but the clarity and purpose you bring to your business.
One ritual that has guided me over the years and made a difference in my business is The Raunächte – also known as The Twelve Nights or The Wild Hunt Nights. Have you heard of it?
The Raunächte (pronounced “Row-nights”) is a centuries-old Germanic tradition celebrated between Christmas and Epiphany. These 12 mystical nights are steeped in history and spirituality, said to hold a unique energy for reflection, releasing the old, and setting intentions for the year ahead.
During this time, with the silence of nature and as the winter solstice marks the rebirth of light, the boundaries between the physical and spiritual worlds are believed to blur. This creates a potent space to pause, let go, and welcome new beginnings with clarity and purpose.
Twelve nights. Twelve months.
Twelve nights to pause and reflect, let go of the old and welcome the new. Each night represents a month of the coming year. By asking open questions, engaging in small yet meaningful rituals, and listening to your intuition, you can align your energy with your aspirations for 2025.
Whether you’re a leader, an entrepreneur, or simply someone seeking a more intentional and grounded start to the year, this is your invitation to embrace reflection, growth, and transformation.
